How We Got Over 1,000 Prospective Emails in One Week with Zero Ad Spend

We just launched a new e-commerce business this week! 🎉🍾 We did things a little differently this time by combining our cumulative knowledge of online retail, new techniques, and evolutionary marketing. I know I've said it before, but guys, it just keeps getting better. Starting your own online business has never been easier. Or cheaper, for that matter. In fact, you can get started with a premium list of over 1,000 valuable prospects for the unbeatable price of… $0.

Here is exactly how we got over 1,000 prospective, but most importantly, valuable emails in less than one week for zero dollars:

Step 1: Find your ideal avatar in the wonderful world of Facebook groups.

There is a facebook group out there for everything you could possibly think of. Which means there are facebook groups out there where people within your niche have gathered themselves together in one convenient location. Your first step is to find these groups, join them, and become part of the community. My personal advice is to always sell something you're interested in and knowledgable of so joining these groups should be natural to you anyway. Most groups have some rules about promotional stuff and spam, so make sure you're aware of and follow them.

Step 2: Get a free Klaviyo account and create an awesome sign-up form.

But not a sign-up form for people to become customers. A sign-up form for people to become part of a community. Offer your prospects the chance to become a product tester for new products free of charge. Offer them a chance to help you develop new products. Offer them a birthday gift just for signing up. These are all things you can do in Klaviyo (which is part of the reason why I love and recommend it so much) and it's 100% FREE.

Our new store is for french bulldog products so we created a form where people could sign up to become product testers and to receive a free birthday gift for their puppy every year. We told group members that we were developing new products and needed testers (all true–and it should be if you are just starting out selling new products). People were ALL OVER IT. We didn't try to sell anything, but at the bottom of the form, we clearly stated that they were subscribing to our newsletter when signing up and that they could unsubscribe at any time.

Over 1,000 people signed up in less than 24 hours.

Your own specific method of gaining emails may vary depending on the products you are selling, but the facebook group method works and it works really well no matter what your niche is. Just make sure you are following the group rules and aren't being spammy. Remember, you are providing something valuable to these people in return for their email. Uphold your offer and commit to providing value to your list, and they'll do the same for you.
